My name is Dino Venini, I was born in Italy on lake Como, in the town of Menaggio, and moved to California in my thirties. I have always painted and drawn since I was very young. I did several exhibitions, alone and in groups, around lake Como and in Lake Geneva, when I was working there. When I moved to California, I continued drawing and painting but not continuously because I had a very demanding job and was raising a family.  Now that I am retired, I dedicate most of my free time to my favorite hobby, drawing. In the past I used all kinds of media, oil paint, watercolor, tempera and computer art, but lately I prefer color pastel, pastel-powder and mixed media because I feel that those mediums best express myself.
